Every evening as I settle in to complete the seemingly mundane task of reviewing and submitting homework, I plug my headphones into my computer and lose myself in a calm, serene place created by streaming online music. The transcendence into a world of classical or spa themed music helps me to focus my thoughts and produce my best work. Such a great asset, helping me to maintain great grades and win the hearts and minds of my fellow classmates, is priceless in my opinion. Even more priceless; knowing that some services charge nothing for streaming digital online content, easing my ever strained student budget.
Services such as DVR are available from most cable and satellite providers, but I choose not to purchase those services. If I miss my favorite show or news broadcast, I simply dive into the world of streaming media content and watch what I missed. Entire seasons of certain shows are available and most services offering online media also make suggestions as to what other types of media I might enjoy. It is said that the world is a huge place and I certainly am able to access much more of the media from across the world without ever leaving the comfort of my home.
